15 m 8Ingredients
- 1 (15 oz) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed well
- 1/3 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
- 1/4 cup almond milk
- 2 heaping tsp chocolate chip tea
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 Tbs almond butter or another nut butter
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
Directions
Make tea using 1/4 cup hot almond milk and 2 tsp tea. Strain and set aside. In a food processor or blender, blend chickpeas, sugar, cocoa powder, nut butter, salt, tea, and extract. Stop after a minute to scrape down sides. Blend until smooth. You may need to add a splash of almond milk. The hummus will thicken a bit as it chills in the fridge.
Transfer to an airtight container and fold in chocolate chips, cover and place in fridge for at least 4 hours (preferably overnight). Serve as desired.
