Chili Lime Margaritas
Time for margs! Try this margarita with a spicy kick for your next fiesta! Your desired steep time + time to chill + 5 mins for prep. Recipe is for 1 drink - multiply measurements per person!
10 m 1Ingredients
- Silver Tequilla
- Cointreau or Triple Sec
- Adagio Chili Lime Coconut Green tea
- Spicy Salt - like Tajín brand Clásico Seasoning Rimmer
- Limes
- Jalapeño (garnish)
- Toasted coconut flakes (optional for garnish)
Directions
Steep 1 teaspoon of Adagio's Chili Lime Green tea in 8oz of 180° water for 5-7 mins. Strain and chill.
Juice half a lime (or the whole thing depending on size) into a separate glass.
Using the cut+squeezed lime, run it around the rim of your serving glass to moisten, then dip the glass in a mixture of spicy salt and toasted coconut. (If you don't want to purchase spicy rimming salt, you can mix up your own with Kosher salt, chili powder, cayenne, etc.) Fill your serving glass with fresh ice.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add:
1.5 oz of Silver Tequilla
1 oz of Cointreau or Triple Sec (I like a little less, so I would go with 3/4 of an ounce)
The juice of half a lime
1 oz of the cold Chili Lime Green Tea.
Shake for 10 seconds!
Strain into fresh ice in your salted serving glass. Garnish with a slice of lime and a slice of jalapeño! Enjoy!
Cheers everyone!
