Irish Green Beans
Tea twist on my favorite side dish, green beans. Healthy and flavorful.

- 2 tbsp. Irish breakfast tea leaves
- 2 c. spring water
- 1 lbs. fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- toasted almond slices, optional
Directions
Brew tea in 2 c. spring water. Steam green beans in a small amount plain water. While beans are steaming, sautee minced garlic in olive oil until starting to brown. Add brewed tea and simmer with garlic for a few min. Remove beans from steamer and put in a large bowl. Pour garlic-tea marinade over drained beans. Garnish with toasted almond slices, if desired. Serve immediately.
