Almond Cardamom Apples

The Almond Cardamom Cake tea has so many great flavors which makes it a great base for many recipes. I chose to use apples and local honey for this recipe. The apples make a great side dish for breakfast or dinner and also pair well with vanilla bean ice cream for a sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 4 apples (peel if desired) sliced thin, core discarded
  • 1.5 C. of Almond Cardamom Cake tea brewed at 212 degrees for 5 minutes. Use 1.5 tsp. of tea for 1.5 C. of water.
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 Tbsp. flour to thicken the sauce
  • 2 tsp. fresh minced ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

In a skillet over low heat, combine tea, honey, flour, ginger, and cinnamon. Bring the sauce to a simmer and add the sliced apples. Cook until the apples are tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed. Serve warm.
